Seventy-three youth participated in the 2018 Todd County 4-H Project Fun Day on February 17 at the First Baptist Church in Long Prairie.
It is an event designed and open to all Todd County youth to explore a variety of interests by engaging in creative projects. The 4-H program encourages learning by doing.
We want youth to ‘get their hands dirty’ whether it means digging in the soil as they learn about earthworms or operating a drill as they build a birdhouse.
We offered 12 project areas youth could choose to explore. It is Todd County 4-H’s goal to expose youth to a variety of learning options and encourage them to continue exploring their interests by enrolling as a 4-H member.
See more photos of the event in this week’s issue.
