Browerville Ambulance received LUCAS CPR machine
The Minnesota Department of Health/Office of Rural Health and Primary Care, on behalf of the Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust recently provided the Browerville Ambulance Service a LUCAS 3 mechanical CPR device. Staff members from the Browerville Ambulance Service were given in-depth training on using the device to provide critical life-saving treatment during a cardiac arrest.
“It is an automatic CPR machine that can give the chest compressions should someone require it,” said EMT Patrick Sutlief.
The machine is battery operated and the cost was completely covered by the grant.
