Carol's Coffee, pastries, crafts, farmer's market
by Trinity Gruenberg
Hewitt has a cozy new place to sip coffee, check out crafts and eat delectable pastries. It is simply called Carol’s.
Carol Carroll has turned the former Hewitt Senior Center into a homey spot to shop and relax. Carroll is a baker by trade and makes all of her famed goodies at home and brings them in. Carol’s also includes a small indoor farmer’s market were vendors can bring in their crafts and food items to sell.
She opened her doors the weekend of deer hunting and currently has four vendors, including herself.
Along with her pastries and her popular caramel rolls, she is an avid crocheter and brings in her own creations to sell including hats, gloves, boots and newborn blankets.
The purple and black exterior of the building has been painted a clean white.
“It’s nice to see the different things people bring in,” said Carroll.
Carol’s currently features items for the holidays including Santa and snowman figures, blankets, table runners, handmade soaps and jams and so much more. All are reasonably priced.....
