According to court documents, a Crow Wing County Sheriff’s investigator created an undercover social media account. On October 25, the investigator was utilizing said persona. 

    At approximately 5:58 a.m.,  a male, later identified as Joshua Hauer, 37, of Clarissa contacted said persona.  The investigator responded at approximately 8:20 a.m., and identified the persona as a 14-year-old female.

    An ongoing chat ensued from October 25 through October 29. At all times the investigator was in Crow Wing County. During the chat, Hauer was reminded the persona was 14 and in eighth grade. Eventually Hauer turned the conversation sexual. Hauer made sexual comments and asked when and where he could meet her. . . .
