According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on April 30, a 2003 Buick driven by Joseph Stroderl, 88, of Bertha, failed to yield at the Highway 210 intersection while northbound on County Road 23. The Stroderl vehicle made contact with a Ford Expedition heading eastbound, driven by Kristine Brown, 44, of Eagle Bend, resulting in a fatal crash. Stroderl died at the scene. Brown was taken to St. Cloud with non-life threatening injuries. Assisting at the scene were the Todd County Sheriff’s Department, Tri-County Ambulance, Bertha Ambulance and the Hewitt Fire Department.
