A bill introduced into the House has caused a stir among gun owners.
HF 3022 was introduced in the Minnesota Legislature on February 26. This bill is looking for stricter regulations on gun laws that would modify provisions related to the transfer of firearms and ammunition, eligibility to possess firearms, limiting or prohibiting possession of certain firearms and firearm accessories and providing criminal penalties.
Included in the proposed bill:
Firearms data remains private data, but has included the possession of assault weapons in the definition. Silencers will be prohibited. A person may not own or possess a silencer for a firearm or a firearm equipped to have a silencer attached. . . .
