The spookiest time of year brings families out looking for tricks and treats. Sometimes it involves seeking a scare in a local haunted house or mastering a corn maze. One local attraction also added laser tag for more family fun.
Derek Holst operates a construction company by day, and by night offers entertainment for the whole family.
Haunted Hollow in Staples was established 10 years ago. With the help of his wife Jen and family, the haunted attraction has grown with creative scares and decor.
“It started as a hobby and became a business,” said Owner Derek Holst.
To celebrate 10 years of Haunted Hollow, Holst wanted to add more family friendly and year round fun. He added Holst Acres which includes a corn maze, laser tag and a space to rent for parties.
“Birthday parties have been a big thing,” said Holst. . . .
