Honoring our Veterans
by Karin L. Nauber
On Saturday, November 11 in honor of those who served our country through military service, the Browerville American Legion Auxiliary held a luminary lighting ceremony at the Browerville Vets Club to give due recognition to those veterans.
The ceremony was led by Auxiliary President Deb Weishalla who gave a couple of very touching readings and then the luminary candles were lit.
Each bag—there were 271 in total—had a veteran’s name and branch of service on them. The luminaries at the end closest to the Vets Club entrance were in honor of those still living. The other end was in remembrance of those who have passed away.
