Each wing in the new addition showcased a comfortable setting and state of the art equipment. This is one of the several new clinic rooms.
Visitors toured the new addition getting a firsthand look at the new wings and their capabilities to provide care for the rural communities.

Lakewood Health System expansion to meet rural health care needs

The Lakewood Health System in Staples unveiled their new addition on Friday, January 5.
Lakewood CNO/COO Teresa Fisher, Lakewood System Board Chair Loren Morey, Lakewood District Board Chair Mary Theurer and Lakewood Strategy Dyad Physician Dr. Christine Albrecht each shared a few words before the ribbon cutting.
“We are so excited about this event. It’s pretty nice!” said Morey.
He welcomed everyone to the new clinic addition and was excited for everyone to see what has been built.
The addition has been in the planning stages for years, working with the construction crews and providers. Many times the plans were completed and then revised.
They broke ground for the project in November of 2016.
“It’s been just over a year and this phase is just about completed,” said Morey.
Phase two will be the remodel of the existing clinic.
