Most siblings would bond over a fishing trip or around a bonfire. But these siblings decided to run a 200 mile race over two days.
Last fall, Jake Lunemann, the eldest of six siblings originating from Clarissa, came across an advertisement for The Great River Ragnar Relay run. It sparked his interest and he discussed it with his siblings over the holidays.
The siblings were skeptical.
Jake, a 2002 grad of Eagle Valley, needed a 12 person team to compete in the Ragnar race. The siblings made up half the team. Along with Jake were—Taylor (A 2007 Eagle Valley grad), Barry (2005), Reid (2010), Alex (2015) and sister Deandra (2013).
“Once I got two or three of them to bite, then the others came along for the ride,” said Jake.
“Most of us nervously accepted the invite and immediately wondered what we got ourselves into! I thought it would be cool to complete an event like this with all my siblings. . . .
