A regional family child care licensing collaborative including Region 5, Sourcewell and many of our local health and human services agencies has been honored with a first place award recognizing their innovation in helping to create system-wide consistency and “ultimately, assisting families in finding and securing quality child care” by the Hubert Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.
Region 5+ received the Local Government Innovation Award, county category for the initiative which is sponsored by Sourcewell.
Each year the university recognizes 19 local government projects that demonstrate innovation and collaboration.
A panel of judges considered submissions for their creativity, sustainability and collaboration. . . .
