Cancer survivors made a victorious lap around the track as people applauded throughout the race during the annual Relay for Life event held at Sunnybrook Park on August 9. The event included a dunk tank, dove release, singers Matthew Greenwaldt and Samantha Kirkland and keynote speaker Bill Hess whose family were this year's torch bearers. This year's teams included the Immanuelites, Wadena Walmart Walkers, The Merickle Workers, St. Paul Lights of Life Team, Knute Nelson Homecare and Hospice, Central Minnesota Credit Union and Bistodeau.
