Browerville School approves selling Clarissa building to the city of Clarissa

In a turn of events, the Browerville School Board approved the sale of the former Eagle Valley School building in Clarissa to the city of Clarissa.
The city had originally turned down two offers from the district to purchase the bu ilding. After the school district offered the building for sale to a private buyer, Barry Bauer, who was to make the purchase, the city of Clarissa took the issue to court to stop the sale to Bauer.
According to Browerville School Superintendent Scott Vedbraaten at the March 12 meeting of the school board, the city of Clarissa and Mr. Bauer came to an agreement and the city will purchase the building and Mr. Bauer will remove some equipment from the building. . .
