For the past 42 years a little newsletter has gone out nearly every month to let senior citizens and their families know about events, health information and more. It’s the Senior Echoes and if you are a senior citizen and are not familiar with this newsletter, you should be.
The Todd County Council on Aging has the task of compiling the submitted information each month.
Verna Toenyan, the coordinator at TCCA, said that the majority of the information, jokes, recipes and more that is in the newsletter are all submitted by the readers and various senior centers.
“I remember one senior who lived in the county telling me “This is the only paper I need to survive in Todd County as a senior citizen.’ I keep that in my mind when I think about this little paper. I am entrusted to provide good, usable information to people,” said Toenyan. . . .
