The Ongoing Saga of a Girl and Her Scale
As the day approaches when we will start our contest, I am getting more and more excited about it.
I don't know what it is, but I just love writing about health, fitness and weight loss. I guess that is why I write a separate blog website (diabeteshealthnuts.com) in my "spare" time. Yesterday I wrote a post about the importance of weight loss in potentially reversing Type 2 Diabetes. You can read it here.
I think I enjoy writing about this topic because I truly enjoy seeing people change their lives to eating healthier, making better choices and transforming themselves.
When I see the despair in the eyes of those who have tried repeatedly to lose weight, my heart breaks because I know exactly what they are going through. I want to offer them hope and a little incentive to lose weight. To feel better about themselves. To renew themselves!
This year I will once again be hosting a class/support group for anyone interested in attending. We will be going over the book Lose It Fast, Lose It Forever by Pete Thomas. If you click the link, it will take you to my other site where I have a link you can use to order the book.
This book is a good one to read even if you don't want to join the support group because there is a ton of valuable insight, menus, workouts and more.
Pete was the most successful contestant on the NBC TV show The Biggest Loser. If memory serves me correctly, he was on season 2. Although he did not win that season, I believe he was the at-home winner after his elimination from the ranch. He has successfully kept the weight off and now tours around the country spreading the message that there is hope for permanent weight loss.
We are still working out more details for the contest, but we will likely begin the second week in February. Keep an eye out for more information!
