A couple of busy weeks for the Tigers
by Coach Jeni Burns
On Tuesday, January 10, the Tigers opened up their three-game week at home against conference rivals, Osakis. It was a boy/girl doubleheader due to some weather rescheduling.
Osakis came out hot shooting and the Tigers' mental lapses allowed for the Streaks to jump out to a 15-4 lead. The Tigers were able to settle in and knock down a few shots of their own to go into the half down only two with a score of 32-30.
Adjustments were made by both teams at the half. The Tigers Ella Cuchna scored the first four points of the half to get the Tigers their first lead.
But Osakis was able to battle back with a few buckets of their own. The Streaks threw a few defenses at the Tigers that gave them some trouble at first, but some good attacks, solid shooting, and offensive rebounds allowed the Tigers to gain their biggest lead of seven late in the second half. . .
