A dream of summer fun for all ages

It was while Sharon Milbrett of Eagle Bend was on a vacation in Montana with her family that the idea for creating a splash pad in her hometown was conceived.
“It looked like a lot of fun. The splash pad was across the street from an assisted living center. A lady came across the street pushing her walker. She sat down in the middle of the splash pad and the kids all played around her. It looked like everyone was having a great time,” said Milbrett.
“I think the lady must have done that every day because she sure was tan,” noted Milbrett with a laugh.
She loved seeing the kids and older people smiling and happy and playing together.
When she arrived back home she took the idea of a community splash pad to the next meeting of the Eagle Bend Fire Department Auxiliary. . .
