A gym full of growling Tigers

The Tigers of Browerville/Eagle Valley were host to the Tigers of Pine River-Backus last Monday night in a Section 5A West matchup. Miguel Maloney led all scorers with 25 points and led B/EV past PR-B by a final score of 81 to 51.

Browerville/Eagle Valley had the early, and largest, lead of 14-6. Pine River-Backus, with the help of several offensive rebounds, went on a 13 to 2 run and took a three-point lead, 16-19. B/EV tied the score at 21 with a three-pointer by Reis Irsfeld with 7:48 on the clock.

The B/EV offense wouldn’t back down and again took a seven-point lead. PR-B’s offense also continued to find ways to score and closed the gap to one point with 41 seconds remaining in the half. . .
