A Matter of Perspective

I was so excited to see the UPS truck arrive in my neighborhood one morning this past week. I knew my first ever paperback book would be on that truck because I had received tracking information about it just moments before.

When he stopped at the neighbor’s, I wasn’t surprised. I think they get something every single day. But when the truck drove past my house and didn’t even slow down, I have to admit, I was a little sad.

But only for a minute because then the truck pulled up in front of my house!

The driver walked over with my package and I must have been grinning from ear-to-ear  because he even got a grin on his face! (And this guy is a crabby patty who never smiles EVER!)

I’m glad my joy could give him joy!

My granddaughter was home from school because she had strep throat so she wanted to open the box. I let her. But she was slow at it because I had warned her not to cut too deep because she might cut into a book. I was getting impatient. But then she said, “I think I got it.”

Next thing I knew she was tearing the box open and pulling out the packaging material.

Just to keep me centered and “because she can” she said, “It’s not very big.”

I laughed and said, “It’s not supposed to be. It’s a beginner guide for senior citizens, not a novel.”

As I was taking the photo, my granddaughter’s cat had to make her appearance and get in on the photo, too. I guess she was excited, as well!

The book is on Amazon, but my main purpose of getting the paperbacks was to use them as a giveaway product at the first live class for my other business: makelifeprofitable.com.

In retrospect, I probably would have made it a bit longer and a bit more comprehensive. I also would have sprinkled it with more links to my website. I will likely be doing a rewrite of it in the next three months to add in a few more details and those links. Maybe even sooner than that. I will have to make the time because I don’t want to delay on this.

But in the meantime, I am so excited! I just had to share! Now I am even more motivated to get my live classes completed so I can share even more of what I’ve learned.

By the way, I had one winner for one of the courses. There is still one more out there. If you message me, you could be the lucky winner of a free course on affiliate marketing!
