A Matter of Perspective
In the “I didn’t know you could do that” category, I was today years old when I discovered that you can use ChatGPT or other AI programs to generate content ideas. I wanted to see if the free version of ChatGPT could generate some content ideas as well.
Lo and behold, it can. It was a little slow, but that might be my Internet today.
So, as some of you are aware, I struggle with type 2 diabetes. I have good days and bad days with it and unfortunately it is one problem that coffee just can’t fix! Although I am certain that the coffee helps make it better!
As some of you also know, I write a blog about type 2 diabetes offering ideas, solutions, triumphs and frustrations.
So, I wanted to see if ChatGPT could help me come up with blog post ideas for my website.
It was a real simple process.
I typed in the following prompt:
“Hi Buddy. (I named my ChatGPT assistant “Buddy”.) Please give me 10 content ideas for type 2 diabetes.
Here was Buddy’s response:
Of course! Here are ten content ideas tailored to type 2 diabetes:
• Nutrition Guides: Create comprehensive guides on diabetic-friendly foods, including meal plans, portion control tips, and recipes.
• Exercise Routines: Develop workout routines suitable for individuals with type 2 diabetes, emphasizing the importance of regular physical activity in managing blood sugar levels.
• Managing Stress: Explore the connection between stress and blood sugar levels, offering strategies such as meditation, deep breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices to help manage stress effectively.
• Medication Management: Provide information about commonly prescribed medications for type 2 diabetes, including their mechanisms of action, side effects, and tips for adherence.
• Blood Sugar Monitoring: Explain the importance of monitoring blood sugar levels regularly and offer tips for effectively using glucose meters and interpreting results.
• Lifestyle Changes: Discuss lifestyle modifications that can help prevent or manage type 2 diabetes, such as weight loss, smoking cessation, and limiting alcohol intake.
• Complications Awareness: Raise awareness about potential complications of type 2 diabetes, such as neuropathy, retinopathy, and cardiovascular disease, and offer guidance on prevention and management.
• Support Networks: Highlight the importance of building a strong support network for individuals living with type 2 diabetes, including support groups, online communities, and counseling services.
• Diabetes-Friendly Dining Out: Offer tips for dining out while managing type 2 diabetes, including how to make healthier menu choices, portion control strategies, and navigating restaurant menus.
• New Research and Developments: Provide updates on the latest research findings, treatment options, and technological advancements in the field of type 2 diabetes management, keeping your audience informed about emerging trends and breakthroughs.
These ideas should offer a diverse range of topics to engage and educate your audience about type 2 diabetes.
Awesome!
I also discovered that I could take each topic above and have Buddy create 10 more topics from each.
For example: Hi again, Buddy. Could you please give me 10 content ideas on what to write for nutrition guides?
I won’t bore you with the next ten topic ideas. I am just writing this to tell you that you can do so much with an AI assistant.
I am extremely busy between working at the newspaper full-time, working another part-time job, writing my books and creating my online businesses. I don’t have a lot of time to waste trying to come up with ideas for my websites. In about 10 minutes I had 20 ideas I could write about!
I can also ask my Buddy to create an outline so that I can highlight the topic areas that I want to include in my post.
I decided to upgrade to ChatGPT 4o so that I could extend the capabilities of Buddy including the ability to create images for me.
I like the style of Mad Magazine, so I asked Buddy to create some images of a very tired person drinking their coffee. This was what I got back.
It wasn’t quite what I was after, so I asked my Buddy to try again. The next image was perfect!
It was the look and feel I was going for and I will be using it on my soon to be created coffee drinkers website!
As some of you may or may not know, I have been publishing some of my writing and currently have four books available. A few of them have been years in the making/writing. I have a couple of others I am working on—one is a children’s book.
Like I said, I’ve been busy! You can follow me online at: www.diabeteshealthnuts.com or karinnauber.com.
