A Matter of Perspective

I’m going to start my own YouTube channel . . .

For those of you who have children in your lives, you will really understand what I am talking about. For those of you who don’t, you might want to pay attention because it could make you sound cool...

If you are not familiar with the following names, you might need to brush up on your YouTube powers: Sssniperwolf, Azzy, Preston and Brianna and a host of other names. There are families like Ryan’s World among others.

With an eight-year-old who is obsessed with YouTube, I hear these and other names all day long.

When I go spend time with my other grandchildren, I hear these names and more like Rebecca Zamolo, Lizzy and hundreds of others. I am overwhelmed by the names of these young people who are making fortunes by making videos.

Honestly, I do like Sssniperwolf. I think she is funny and witty and quite intelligent. But a lot of the other ones—nonsense. I mean, if you want to watch people play video games, great, watch Preston and his wife Brianna. They also have other channels that you can watch and see them do other things like pulling pranks on people or doing makeup, but...well, honestly, I find that boring. But for the sponsorships they get and outright payments from companies for playing these games or drinking a Coke onscreen or playing with a new toy or whatever—I would be willing to talk non-stop through a video game I was playing!

Actually, my granddaughters and I are working on starting our own YouTube channels, but in the meantime, we have to buy all the toys and plushies ourselves!

I am kind of looking forward to the day when we have sponsors who send us stuff to open and review online!

We could one day show you the house that YouTube bought.

Personally, I was thinking of creating a channel about my cats. They act so entitled. I wonder if they act that way because I let them or because they truly think they are?

I’ll keep you posted on our YouTube progress. In the meantime, there is always TikTok to keep me busy and those videos can be a whole lot shorter!
