Aaron Garland Brings New Life to Iron Corral: Familiar Faces, Fresh Ideas

Aaron Garland of Verndale is a familiar face in the local restaurant and bar scene, and recently took ownership of the Iron Corral in Wadena.

After years of experience running various establishments, including the Gateway Pub in Henning, Aaron saw an opportunity to rejuvenate the Iron Corral and bring his expertise and vision to the popular spot. With a commitment to improving food quality, maintaining a local vibe, and attracting future business, Aaron is excited to continue his journey in the restaurant industry, reconnecting with long-time customers and creating new memories for the community.

He is no stranger to the restaurant and bar business, as many locals remember him from his time working at the Bullseye Bar and Grill in Verndale. He worked there for eight years under the ownership of Scott Werk. He then worked in North Dakota for a time and returned to work at the Bullseye under the new owner Jim Maas.

The opportunity arose for Aaron to purchase a pub in Henning. He and his fiancee, Heather Ewert, owned and operated the Gateway Pub for six years. Even with reduced traffic during the pandemic, they flourished on take-out orders....
