“We are very excited to carry on the tradition started by Kay Nelson, long-time resident of Eagle Bend and teacher at the Eagle Bend School. She hoped that the community would continue celebrating art and music with a special celebration day after she was gone. This year should be bigger and better as we’ve added a food vendor—so come hungry—and vendors who will not only display their wares but have them for sale. Bring a chair and sit under the tent to hear good music and see local artistic talent displayed. All are welcome!” said Sharon Harris, one of the Art in the Park event organizers for 2023.
Are you ready for an afternoon of art, music and entertainment?
Then you will probably want to check out the Art in Nelson Park event coming on Sunday, August 13.
There will be music throughout the afternoon including singing, instruments and more.
There will, of course, be art works displayed by local artisans along with vendors who will be hosting a fair with items to purchase, order or to just admire.
Face painting, which is popular with the kids, is available for adults, too!
And what is a day of entertainment without concessions?
Food and beverages will be available for purchase from the Eagle Bend Fire Department Auxiliary and from the B/EV Coffee Club! . . .
