Bears have strong showing at Section 6A meet

Last Friday, the Bertha-Hewitt Bear Cross Country team ran their section meet at the Minnewaska Golf Course outside the city limits of Glenwood. It was a perfect day to run with just a slight breeze and it was 53 degrees.

Kendra Miller, the only runner for the Bears, ran her best race of the year with a time of 20:32.85. She placed 9th, just missing 8th place by .04 seconds. This time was her personal best, a new school record, and she becomes the first Bertha-Hewitt runner to qualify for the state meet. . .
