Bears start season strong

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears Girls Basketball team has started off on the right foot. The Bears are currently 6 – 1 this season with wins against Parkers Prairie, Browerville, Pillager, Henning, Minneapolis South, and Ashby. The Bears lone loss is to Menahga.
Leading the Bears in scoring so far is Sophomore Kendal Beyatt coming in at 12 points a game.
Junior Piper Dean is right behind her averaging 11 points and Senior Jorja Weishalla is third with 8 points a game.
The rebound leader board starts the same with Kendal and Piper averaging 9.2 and 8, respectively.
Junior Kyrstin Beyatt is third with 7 a game. Piper Dean is also leading the team with 3.2 assists 5.3 steals.
Against Parkers Prairie, Jorja Weishalla had 9 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 steals to help the Bears start the season 1 – 0....
