Bears start the season off 0-2

To open the season, the Bertha-Hewitt Bears Football Team hosted the Rothsay Tigers.
Before the first kick, local First Responders were honored for their hard work and dedication. From the start, it was all Rothsay.
“They dominated us in every phase of the game,” said Coach Hoemberg.
“Our inexperience reared its ugly head for us,” he stated.
The Bears surrendered four turnovers throughout the game and had trouble moving the ball at times.
“We are going to look at this game as a learning opportunity for us,” said Coach Hoemberg. . .
