Bears take on South and the Arrows

This past week was a weird one for all High School sports. The Bertha-Hewitt Bears were supposed to take on 2 Park Region Conference foes on Tuesday and Thursday before heading off to Long Prairie for their Holiday Tournament. Both Conference games got postponed due to weather, but the Bears were able to take the court on Friday and Saturday.

Friday night saw the Bears take on the Tigers of Minneapolis South. The Bears came out ready to take on the Tigers getting out to a quick with a transition layup by Carissa Wincher followed by a 3-point field goal by Ava Bauch. The majority of the first half was spent with the teams trading baskets, never being able to extend a lead past 2 baskets. . .
