Bears top the Hornets

This past week saw the Bertha-Hewitt Bears battle 3 tough opponents in the New York Mills Eagles, Upsala Cardinals, and the Henning Hornets.

They hosted the Eagles on Tuesday night before traveling to Upsala on Thursday and playing a matinee game in Henning in front of a packed Hornets crowd.

On Tuesday night the Bears hosted the Eagles for our Senior Night, honoring the commitment that this group of ladies has shown for our program.

The game started a little slow for the Bears, with the Eagles jumping out to a 7 – 0 lead before Jorja Weishalla found Rochelle Dean on a fast rebound for the first basket.

Jorja Weishalla got her own rebound a few possessions later to score the next basket for the Bears....
