Bears top the Johnnies

This past week saw the Bertha-Hewitt Bears take on the Saint John’s Prep Johnnies and the New York Mills Eagles. The Bears defeated the Johnnies 64 – 22 at home before traveling to New York Mills and falling to the Eagles 61 – 51.
On Tuesday night the Bears hosted the Johnnies in a Section 5A contest.
The Bears started the game with a drive and finish by Michaela Barthel followed by a put back by Carissa Winscher.
The Bears opened up their lead with a great backdoor cut by Jorja Weishalla then Kendal Beyatt finished at the rim to extend the lead to 12....
