Bears win nail-biter over the Trojans

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears boys basketball team returned to action last week, shaking off the holiday break with two tough games. The week showcased their resilience, ending with a hard-fought win.
On Tuesday, January 7, the Bears traveled to Wadena to take on the Wolverines. Despite a strong start, the Bears fell short, losing 60-37.
Quintin Flynn scored the Bears’ first six points, keeping the game competitive in the early stages. The team trailed by just nine points at halftime, 32-23.
Unfortunately, the Wolverines came out strong in the second half with a 9-0 run, and the Bears struggled to keep pace.
Scoring just 14 points after halftime, Bertha-Hewitt couldn’t overcome the deficit....
