Bears wrap up their season

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears wrapped up their regular season with back-to-back losses against Swanville and Parkers Prairie, finishing the season with an 8-16 record. The Bears will now shift their focus to the postseason as they prepare to travel to Walker for a Thursday night matchup against the Walker-Hackensack-Akeley Wolves.

Against Swanville, the Bears struggled to find their rhythm on both ends of the floor, ultimately falling 70-46.

The Bulldogs’ aggressive offensive attack proved difficult to contain, and the Bears had a hard time responding. Shooting just 23% from the field and struggling at the free-throw line, Bertha-Hewitt faced an uphill battle throughout the game.

By halftime, the Bulldogs held a commanding 40-18 lead. The Bears managed to cut the deficit to 49-35 in the second half, but that was as close as they would get before Swanville pulled away once again.

Leading the Bears in scoring was Jalen Hinzmann with 16 points, followed by Brady Rach with 12....
