The Heart of the Valley Golf Course in the Red River Valley town of Ada features some lengthy flat straightaways ideal for running fast.
Twenty-three teams from throughout northwestern Minnesota and eastern North Dakota were at the starting area.
Freshman Brady Rach ran the entire race staying with the top five runners. . .
