Bertha-Hewitt Football gives back

“It’s the most significant day for our program every year,” said Head Coach Jared Hoemberg. The Bertha-Hewitt Bears football program sets aside time from their regular practice schedule to engage in community projects.
Over the last two years, they have spent time hauling wood at Bill and Jean Shaw’s place, as well as assisting Byron and Eileen Hartung.
Unfortunately, Bill and Jean passed away this past year.
“We deeply miss Bill and Jean,” Coach Hoemberg expressed.
To fill this void, the Bears decided to shift their practice to the Clarissa Care Center.
The team dedicated an hour to working out and practicing plays in front of the residents. . .
