Browerville Legion Post 293 finished second at Inaugural Legion Fastpitch State Tournament
The Browerville Legion Softball team traveled to Mankato this past weekend to participate in the very first Legion State tournament. The Tigers were representing District 6 and qualified for the state tourney as the winners of the Midwest sub-state.
The Tigers were matched up first with Adams Legion Post 146. The orange and black scored once each in the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th innings and played spotless defense behind starter (Sophomore) Chloe Lorentz who pitched all 7 innings and struck out 7 batters.
Junior Anna Myers and Sophomore Allison Cebulla each provided run-producing base hits to pace the offense and help the Tigers to a 3-1 win - the FIRST EVER win in Legion softball state tournament history! . . .
