Buford's bar is open for business
by Kat Wiirre
The bar in Bertha has a new owner. The former owners felt it was time to retire from the business.
A young man by the name of Justin Hlatky decided it was a perfect time to cross one more thing off of his bucket list and that was to become a bar owner. He purchased the bar on March 5.
Hlatky is 33 years old and is a resident of rural Bertha. He is a graduate of Eagle Valley High School. He attended college at Staples CLC where he graduated with a diesel mechanic degree.
Hlatky decided to use his lifelong nickname when giving the bar its new business name, Buford’s Bar and Grill.
The bar is closed on Mondays, open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and open Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. The bar offers customers daily lunch specials. . .
