Buggy struck in Long Prairie
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, on February 10, at 6:53 p.m., on Lake Charlotte Road and Highway 71 in Long Praire, a 2005 Ford Pickup, driven by Eduaredo Manuel Rosario Araujo, 26, of Browerville was southbound on Highway 71. A horse and buggy operated by David Emanuel Byler, 40, of Long Prairie pulled out in front of the pickup and they collided in the intersection.
Byler sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Long Prairie Hospital. Araujo and his passengers Veras Mateo-Laidy, 26, Elana Maria Melenciano, 18, Juan Jesus Melenciano, 16, all of Browerville were not injured in the incident.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Office and Long Prairie Fire and Rescue assisted at the scene.
