Burlington Northern Park tree lighting

The Wadena Chamber of Commerce held its first tree lighting ceremony on November 21 at the Burlington Northern Park.

Spectators were welcomed inside the train depot prior to the ceremony to enjoy coffee, hot chocolate, hot cider and cookies.

Dan Sartell was present to represent the Chamber of Commerce along with Wadena-Deer Creek School student Madison Packer who took fifth place at the state tennis tournament.

Packer plugged the lights in at precisely 6:30 p.m., lighting up the park.

Spectators then went back inside to finish off the evening enjoying their beverages and cookies and conversation.
