Busy week for the Bears

by Coach Steven Kvam

The Bertha-Hewitt Bears traveled to Sebeka on Tuesday to take on the Trojans in their first Park Region Contest of the new year. They fell to Sebeka 64–46.

The Bears started off the game a little rattled with a starting guard rolling their ankle in the pregame. The Trojans looked to capitalize at the Bears' expense, getting out to a 10 point lead a little over 3 minutes into the game.

The Bears got settled down and they quickly went back to their game plan of ball control and post play and started to cut into the Sebeka lead. A quick put back by Winscher followed by 2 baskets by Alayna Cline on the block and the Bears were able to get it back to 10. Sebeka used the 4–0 advantage and made 3 pointers in the first half to extend the lead back to 14 with the half-time score of 34–20, Sebeka. . .
