Caps and confetti: Congratulations Class of 2021
The Verndale High School held its graduation ceremony outdoors on May 28. Parents had reserved seats and the other attendees brought their own chairs. Senior addresses were given by Joelle Bounds, Tess Jones, and Class President Breh Hopp. The band performed Snake Charmer and the choir sang I Am a Small Part of This World. Diplomas were given to 30 students who then proceeded to pick up a class flower, a white rose, and gave it to their parents. The invocation and benediction were given by Pastor Heath Belknap. The administration planned a surprise for the graduates...confetti cannons blasted as Principal Katie Bolland presented the Class of 2021. Look for more photos in next week's issue.
