Case dismissed in murder-for-hire scheme
The case against Robert Thomas, Sr. of Grey Eagle in a murder-for-hire scheme was dismissed in lieu of a plea deal.
In late March 2023, the Todd County Sheriff’s Office was made aware of a person trying to hire someone to murder a resident of Todd County.
Thomas had paid a purported hitman approximately $10,000 to have a family member killed. The murder, allegedly, was supposed to have happened in the summer of 2021, but the hitman left the residence without shooting the targeted family member....
