Clarissa Fire Department celebrates 100 years

This year marks 100 years of volunteer fire protection and medical emergency services for the Clarissa Fire Department.
The traditions and history of Clarissa’s Volunteer Fire Department date all the way back to 1922, which is also the year the department received a charter from the state of Minnesota.
For many years past and still ongoing today, the fire department serves the community's needs for fire protection, rescue, and treatment for medical emergencies.
Social functions have always been a big part of the traditions of this nonprofit organization. What once started as annual picnics, has now turned into many more exciting and fun community events throughout the years. . .
