Clarissa was hit by EF1 tornado

Todd Krause, National Weather Service (NWS) Twin Cities Warning Coordination Meteorologist, visited Clarissa on Monday, May 16 to survey the damage left by the May 12 storm.

His main interest at the time was looking for groves of trees hit by the storm to best determine what had hit the area.

Krause determined Clarissa was hit by an EF1 tornado. . .
