Robert “Bob” Cuchna Jr. hung up his helmet one last time on September 21 after 44 years of dedicated service to the Clarissa Fire Department.
“After 44 years, and being 75, it was time to hang it up,” said Cuchna.
Members of the Clarissa Fire Department gathered to congratulate and thank Cuchna for his service. He was also gifted a handmade plaque by John DeCock to commemorate his time.
“It felt good he did that for me. He’s got pretty good talent,” Cuchna shared.
Cuchna first served as secretary when he began on the fire department. He served as chief for 24 years and has assisted people near and far in need of help from medical calls to car accidents, fires and natural disasters just to name a few. . .
