Daycare facility taking shape
by Trinity Gruenberg
The new daycare center at the Bertha-Hewitt School is beginning to take shape.
The project is expected to come in over $1 million and is funded with federal grants. Taxpayers won’t see a direct increase in their school taxes.
The 4000 square foot facility is expected to hold around 50 children and will have at least two licensed daycare providers on staff. Once the facility is finished, the Minnesota Department of Health will inspect the facility and give them an official occupancy number.
Construction of the facility began months later than expected due to the paperwork backlog at the state level. . .
