Death of 21-year-old in rural Eagle Bend

On November 26, at approximately 9:15 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office, Bertha First Responders, Bertha Ambulance, and Tri-County Ambulance responded to 11574 400th St., rural Eagle Bend, for a medical emergency.

Malcolm Powell, 21, was pronounced deceased at the residence after life-saving measures were attempted by ambulance personnel.

Powell was transported to the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

This case remains open and under further investigation.
