Fatal accident on Highway 210 claims life of Wadena woman


On October 25, at 10:58 p.m., a Hyundai Elantra driven by Leesa Jean Peacock, 56, of Motley, was traveling westbound on Highway 210. A Chevy Monte Carlo driven by Amber Marie Cloutier, 31, of Wadena, was exiting Scearcyville Road SW, eastbound onto Highway 210. In the westbound lane of Highway 210, the Hyundai made contact with the Chevy. Both vehicles came to rest in the south ditch of Highway 210 in front of Scearcyville Road SW. This incident resulted in fatal injuries.

Cloutier sustained fatal injuries; she was not wearing a seatbelt. Peacock sustained non-life threatening injuries and was taken to Essentia Health-Saint Joseph’s Medical Center.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office, and North EMS assisted at the scene.
