Firefighter struck by car, fire suspected arson

On Saturday, November 21, at 10:48 p.m., the Todd County Sheriff’s Office and Osakis Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire in the city of West Union.

During that incident, a firefighter was struck by a passing car driven by a juvenile female from Sauk Centre. The Firefighter was transported to the Sauk Centre Hospital by the Sauk Centre Ambulance with minor injuries.

The vehicle fire occurred near Sidewalks Bar and is suspected to be arson. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Todd County Sheriff’s Office. The Osakis Police Department assisted at the scene.

The incident remains under investigation.
