From history to hands-on:
Students from the Outdoor STEM class spent three days hiking, camping, and exploring at Gooseberry Falls State Park on Minnesota’s north shore. Even though it was rainy, cold, and windy, the kids had a BLAST!
They explored many of the structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930s and 1940s, learned about the phenology of the park, and had many opportunities to practice finding their way using a map....
