Verndale School’s Summer STREAM camp kicked off for the first time on Tuesday, June 20.

For nine days students first through sixth grade learned Science, Technology, Reading, Engineering, Arts and Math.

The camp was headed by new STEAM Teacher Angie Wallin, with assistance from Teacher Kristin Johnson, Alexys Thompson and Becky Ludovissie along with paras Shyla Hess, Ashley Hess and Amanda Snyder.

The 64 students learned about Minnesota and state symbols.

The students were divided into four groups, named Twins, Vikings, Wild and the Wolves, staying true to the Minnesota theme. They rotate through four stations, each with a different STREAM focus for an afternoon filled with fun and learning. . .
