The Clarissa Centennial and All School Reunion committees have continued to meet throughout the past couple of months. In the past week, a letter to all Clarissa alumni was sent updating past students on planned events and on the Centennial items which are ready for sale.

Jennie Kooiman and Ida Cook, both age 103, received corsages along with all the residents and staff at the Central Todd County Care Center on Christmas Eve. Pictured are Mardi Faiella, Sherry Spencer, Bernie Parks, Harlyn Hanson and Janette Hanson. The Wadena Elks Lodge provided the corsages.

The houses of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Adamietz and Mr. and Mrs. Veronon Pedersen were the First place winners last week in Clarissa’s 22nd annual Christmas residential lighting contest.

Three juveniles from the village of Clarissa were placed on a six-month probation period by a dispositional hearing held at the juvenile court in Long Prairie on December 14. The hearing was held as the result of looted tools that were found in an abandoned house in the village.
